French 1's "Café Wert" returned to the Merle-Smith Campus this week.

After two years without the ability to engage in this particular enjoyable cultural and community-building classroom experience, we began our morning today by practicing ordering at a French cafe or restaurant using practical vocabulary and expressions.

We then enjoyed a traditional French “petit-déjeuner.” A special shout-out to Abby Dubow '25 for her homemade “madeleines,”  Percy Fowler '25 for his delicious “quiche végétarienne,” and Yusuf Vezirogluy '25 for his homemade “croissants!”
