Getting into Character for the Gettysburg Address

October 08, 2021

Students in fifth grade have been learning about the Civil War. As part of the unit on the Civil War, the students learned about the Gettysburg Address.

This is a famous speech given by President Abraham Lincoln after the battle of Gettysburg.  The fifth-graders performed the Gettysburg Address with a Flipgrid video. Many students wore costumes to get into character as they delivered the famed speech.

Enjoy watching a video compilation of many of the fifth-graders reading.
