Leaders and Legends: A Black History Month Presentation
The Leaders and Legends Museum turned the Downtown Campus into an interactive exhibit showcasing Black excellence and joy.
In celebration of Black History Month, students in the Lower School were inspired by biographies they read in books by authors Vashti Harrison, Patty Rodriguez, and Ariana Stein.
After students listened to the presentations (written and recorded by fellow students in both Spanish and English!), visitors to the museum were encouraged to write thank-you notes to the legend or leader who most inspired them.

The Legends and Leaders Museum was inspired by Vashti Harrison's books and the Lil' Libros series.
Thank you to teacher and Downtown Campus DEI Coordinator, Ms. Barbara Medina, for creating this immersive experience for students!
