Even though learners on the Downtown Campus attended school remotely on World Cancer Awareness Day, they still shined a light on a variety of cancer types and honored loves ones by sporting the color of their choice while on Zoom.
We recently participated in a service project in honor of Martin Luther King Jr. After learning the story of Jen Rubino, the founder of the organization Cards for Hospitalized Kids, we created cards with encouraging messages. The cards will be mailed to the organization, which will deliver them to hospitals around the U.S.
This past semester in Advanced French: School & Home, we explored the history of French cinema and took a deep dive into two recent French films which centered on the themes of school life, family, race and what it means to feel "at home."
