Student Musicians Attend Trills and Thrills Music Adjudication for the 26th Year
On Friday, May 6, the 80 members of the Middle School Chorus, Concert Band, Jazz Band, and String Orchestra participated in the Trills and Thrills Music Adjudication followed by an afternoon at Hershey Park’s Chocolate World.
As a long-standing tradition, this marks Moravian Academy’s 26th year of attending the adjudication. The purpose of the adjudication is for each ensemble to perform several musical selections and be evaluated by judges in order to receive helpful feedback for their growth as ensembles.
We’re proud to report that the Middle School Chorus and String Orchestra both received a "Superior" rating and the Concert Band and Jazz Band each received an "Excellent" rating. This has been an exciting year for music at the Middle School as each of our full ensembles was able to safely return to their usual rehearsals and performance opportunities. The students have not been able to participate in this adjudication since 2019.
We wish the best to all of these ensembles as they continue to work hard to present the remaining end-of-year musical concerts and offerings.
