On Friday, April 29, members of Model UN participated in a simulation of a United Nations conference, where each person was assigned a country to represent.

The topic was the current United Nations intervention in the Russia/Ukraine conflict. The members researched the conflict and presented their country’s policy on possible aid and conflict resolutions. After each person gave their opening speech, also known as a speaker’s list speech, a debate began over how the United Nations should proceed to provide aid to Ukrainian refugees. We are so proud of the hard work of the club members and hope to continue the debate! Next club meeting, Model UN will continue to debate and practice writing and passing a resolution!
