Swain Boy's Basketball 2021-22 Season Update

The Cougars are currently sitting at 2-0 having had to pivot early in the season with Covid and winter break. The two wins both came at home against Montgomery and Kimberton. Both games were competitive with Swain withstanding late runs to secure the wins. 

The 8th graders have been vital with their experience and leadership. Especially Parker McClary '26 and Mayan Machugia '26 . Newcomer Jack Garrity '28 has been a valued scorer as well as Everett Parks '26. Brady Helmer '28 is gaining confidence and the defense/rebounding of Toler Wreaks '27 has been huge. Everyone is contributing, it's been a total team effort thus far. 

The Cougars will finally be on the road next week as they play at Wyncroft on Monday and Montgomery on Wednesday, both big tests for the team. But I like our chances and I'm enjoying coaching this group. The effort and determination is there every practice.
