The Merle-Smith Campus was treated to a special in-person visit from author Wayétu Moore, whose memoir The Dragons, The Giant, The Women will be read by ninth graders as part of the FIRE curriculum in the spring semester.

Middle School Advisory: A New Approach

The first month has been a busy time for advisory groups at the Middle School. Advisory is a “home” for students, where they can feel supported both by peers and a faculty advocate. One month into the new school year, advisory personalities and connections have definitely begun to form.

Upper School Ratifies New Social Contract

A new Upper School Social Contract was ratified Thursday after each advisory sent a delegate to a constitutional convention to negotiate terms.

Lower School Social Contract

Each homeroom in the Lower School created a social contract regarding expectations in their individual classrooms. We then gathered representatives from each homeroom to get together and using the individual homeroom contracts, created one social contract for the whole Lower School.
