What we're curious about
Swain Day in the Upper School brought with it 25 eighth-grade guests from The Swain School who joined us for lunch, tours, and a student panel. The visit began auspiciously with pasta day - a student favorite. The Swain students were then divided into smaller groups to tour our campus.
With the successes and accomplishments of our athletic programs over the course of the years, firsts have become a rarity…..except for this week.
Writing music for multiple cellos came about by accident, several years ago. Someone I knew bet that I couldn’t arrange John Philip Sousa’s “The Stars and Stripes Forever” for an army of cellos. So, I did. And then I recorded it, multi-layering the tracks with each new version, with me playing each cello part. This was well before the digital age was upon us.
