The faculty have an award of sorts called the Blue Vase Award. The criteria is “a good deed or deeds done that demonstrate creativity, altruism, perseverance, and/or courage, or selfless acts done for the good of the order.” Right now the vase adorns Mrs. Marla Strohl’s desk. This is of course well-deserved. She keeps Moravian ticking.

I have been thinking about a way to express via Comenius Corner my appreciation for the senior class’s leadership, thoughtfulness, and graciousness. Their concerted effort toward good cheer, school spirit, goodness, and civility have been conspicuous and appreciated. Thus, I would like to offer up to them publicly my commendation and a virtual Blue Vase Award. I am grateful for their stewardship. I look at them and the world is alright with me. They make each day a lovely day.
