Evan Eichenlaub '23 and Joe Smith '23 played a competitive game at the 20th annual John Wasser Cup golf tournament on Friday, August 14, 2020, at Shepherd Hills Golf Club. 

While the pair officially placed third, their score of 67 was only one point behind the winning score of 66, resulting in a tie with Liberty High School. A match of cards determined the final placings.

According to The Morning Call, "Eichenlaub and Smith, who started on No. 7, birdied the eighth and ninth. But they had seven consecutive pars on the back side and finished with seven consecutive pars after a birdie at the par-5 17th." 

EPC and Colonial League golf matches were set to begin Thursday, but all sports are on pause until the PIAA concludes several meetings next week. State guidelines recommend that youth and high school sports should be put on hold until January 1, 2021.
