Middle School Improv 2019: A 10th Anniversary Show

December 16, 2019

The Improv 2019 troupe, comprised of 24 students representing all grades of the Middle School, was a terrific group of participants who brought their creativity and energy to the playing and learning process.

Yellow t-shirts highlighted the happy demeanor of the students, which complemented the opening sequence of this year’s show to the song “Shiny Happy People,” inspired by the game “What Are You Doing?” Students could be seen doing all the activities they enjoy -- and of course doing Improv is one of them.

The Middle School comedy improv players performed two shows on Friday, December 6. The Middle School student body was impressive in their involvement and enthusiasm during the morning show. The evening event was very well attended by parents, peers, and ten Improv “alums,” many of whom joined the troupe for the traditional “Doctor, Doctor” closing of the show.

This year's program was enhanced by two additional aspects. An impressive array of artwork by our Middle School students curated by Mrs. Jill Beil was on display to enjoy before and after the evening show. Also, we reached a landmark ten years of Improv under my direction. Once again we are reminded that the arts are thriving at Moravian Academy.
