Swimming & Diving Shines at District, State Competitions
Our spring sport competitive season officially began yesterday with our Varsity boys’ tennis team sweeping Palisades high school by a 5-0 score. The Varsity girls’ and boys’ lacrosse teams will start their first competitions today. The Boys’ team will host Emmaus High School at 4 PM and the Girls’ team will travel to Emmaus for a 6:30 PM start. Good luck to all of our athletes and coaches as they begin their seasons!
Our winter athletic season concluded over spring break with some great performances in the pool. After repeating as a District XI diving champion, Alexa Fegley earned a bronze medal at the PIAA diving championship. After finishing the regular season with a 5-4 record, our Boys’ swim team earned a bronze medal at the District XI team championship. The Girls’ swim team also secured a bronze medal and finished the regular season with a 4-5 record. Freshman Cece Traub had an outstanding District XI meet earning a gold medal in the 200 IM. Cece also competed in the PIAA swimming championship and finished in 11th place in the 200 IM.
Here are some other strong performances from the District XI Championship:
- 3rd Place in the Girls’ 200 Yard Medley relay: Kassie Ritter, Jade Ware, Cece Traub, and Chloe Oudin.
- 3rd Place in the Boys’ 100 Yard Fly: Armaan Pandher
- 3rd Place in the Boys’ 100 Yard Back: Armaan Pandher
- 3rd Place in the Boys’ 400 Yard Free Relay: Armaan Pandher, Aidan Rodrigues, Alek Krupka, and Evan Bulette.
