Moravian Academy Competes at PJAS Regionals 2024

Pennsylvania Junior Academy of Science (PJAS) held its Region 3 event on Saturday, February 24, 2024, at Northampton Community College. Students presented their independent STEM projects to judges who scored their projects. We are so proud of the accomplishments of all of our students! Students earning first and perfect score awards are invited to present their projects at the state level at Penn State - Main Campus in May.

Students Make Their Mark at DECA at SCDC 2024

The Moravian Academy Chapter of DECA attended the State Conference in Hershey, PA on Feb. 21-23. We had 59 students representing our school in a wide variety of categories ranging from financial literacy events to robust start up business plans, franchise business plans, and independent marketing campaigns.

Quiz Bowl Team Succeeds, Prepares for Nationals

The Quiz Bowl team has had a number of successes over the 2020-2021 virtual Quiz Bowl season! Our A team, (pictured above) with captain Angela Chen ‘21, Grace Sanborn ‘21, Eric Jackson ‘22, Samit Mohapatra ‘22, and Divik Verma ‘22, has competed at four virtual tournaments thus far: the Ithaca Fall Tournament last November; the Greater Pennsylvania Quiz Bowl December Invitational, placing 5th in the varsity bracket; the GPQB February Invitational, placing 2nd in varsity; and the GPQB March Invitational, placing 5th in varsity. At the March Invitational, Divik Verma ‘22 was also the #8 overall individual scorer in the varsity bracket.
