Bartolacci Sisters Are the Players to Watch
As the fall sports season heats up, Moravian Academy's girls' tennis is the team to beat.
The varsity girls' tennis team was noted by The Morning Call as one of the best teams in the Lehigh Valley. According to Dante Terenzio, "The Lions return several key starters in their lineup this season," referring to Francesca "Chessie" Bartolacci, Isabella Bartolacci, and Jamilie Atiyeh who take the top three spots "in all of District 11."
The Morning Call lists the Bartolacci sisters as two of the top five players to watch this season. "Perhaps a sibling rivalry," writes Terenzio, "but when it's go-time for the Bartolacci sisters, they will undoubtedly band together to pack a strong one-two punch against any opponent."
With Coach Rick Brown, recognized for always having "strong doubles teams," at the helm, the Lions are poised for another winning season.
